Adjusting Do's and Dont's

In 2010, I was honoured to be invited as a guest speaker at the 2010 WIND Conference on the topic of "Adjusting Do’s & Don’ts". I presented alongside Perry Ian Cone (Former General Counsel for Citizens Insurance, currently GrayRobinson, P.A.) and David Murray Esq. (Danahy Murray Law Firm in Tampa, Fl.)

Adjusting Do’s & Don’ts: New Statutes [PDF, 28 pages] focus on requirements, prohibitions, and best practices for all public, independent, and company adjusters. The workshop and panel discussion was interactive, with the attendees and panel addressing everyday issues and disputes, while examining the working relationship among company adjusters, independent adjusters, and public adjusters. Recent changes to Florida Statutes and Administrative Codes regarding an adjuster’s conduct and requirements was examined and addressed in everyday situations. This presentation encouraged open participation by the attendees and the panel members to examine productive ways to resolve everyday disputes in the mutual best interest of the insured and carrier during the claims adjustment process. Faculty: David Murray, Danahy & Murray; Joe Zevuloni, ALA, PCA, Zevuloni & Associates, P.A.; Perry Ian Cone, GrayRobinson, P.A.
